After completing 10th grade in India, students have several career options available to them. Some popular options include pursuing higher secondary education in streams such as Commerce, Science, or Arts/Humanities. Apart from doing their 10+2, students in their 10th class can also look at joining a diploma course, joining a polytechnic or ITI (Industrial Training Institute) for a vocational course, completing certificate courses, taking up an entry-level job or starting a business.


For many state and central government job options, the minimum educational criteria are completion of class 10th. Government jobs offer a variety of benefits, such as job security, allowances, consistent pay, and many others. After completing 10th grade, students can pursue a diploma in Engineering which is a 3-year course. Diploma courses are available in various specializations like Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering etc.


After completing a diploma in engineering, students can either take up a job or get admission for the second year directly through lateral entry in a BTech or BE course. BE / BTech is a 4-year undergraduate course in various specializations like Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering etc.


If students are planning on studying abroad after completing their 10th examinations in India, then there are a few essential things they need to know to make this happen. The first thing they need to do is research properly and identify which school and what course they want to join. They will have to request these schools for their application forms and fill them up very carefully while keeping an eye on the deadlines for submission.


They will also have to take an English test such as IELTS or TOEFL which will test their English language skills. Only if they pass this test can they be accepted into a school abroad. The next thing they need to do is obtain a student visa. They will have to have all the necessary documents proving that their family will be able to pay for all the tuition fees, accommodation fees, and transportation fees during their stay in that country.


There are also scholarships available for Indian students who want to study abroad after 10th.
